Testimony 1

Testimony 1:

God Attended to My Heart's Desire to be Pain-free

Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Psalm 37:4 (KJV)

One Sunday I went to church with a pain in my neck. For the whole day the pain was there, but I didn’t think to pray about it.  After church that Sunday I had suggested to my pastor that we had another verse to add to that well known song: ‘Jesus is my Deliverer’ because I had a pain in my neck and I needed God to deliver.  That was it!

When I got home I was in the kitchen, washing the dishes and I started to sing:

“Pain in mi neck

He ain’t delivered yet

Pain in mi neck

He ain’t delivered yet

Pain in mi neck

He ain’t delivered yet

But I know He’ll deliver me”

Still singing, I started to add bits to the song: “How? You may ask, do I know, or  Why are you so sure… and I would reply:

Cos’ when I had pain in mi back

He delivered

When I had pain in mi   chest

He delivered

When I had pain in mi head

He delivered

I know cos’ He delivered me”

I don’t know when the pain left my neck but it did.

What I want to highlight here is that I did not have hands laid on me and neither did I get down in prayer for my healing.  What I did was reach out my faith and He heard my heart’s cry.  The fact that I believed that, in His time, He would deliver me, as He has always done, I was actually telling the enemy that I don’t believe his lies and that even though I can feel pain right now, I know that my God will deliver me.  He has done it in the past and in His word, He says that He will never leave me nor forsake me (Hebrews 13:5).  Because I believe His word, I knew that the pain would only be temporary.  I had a wonderful worship experience that evening, in my kitchen, which confirmed that when the praises go up, the blessings come down.

So if you are feeling pain in any area of your body or in your life today, just stretch out your faith, and like the woman with the issue of blood, touch the hem of His garment and allow His healing power to flow through your body.  Faith as small as a mustard seed is all it takes (see Matthew 13:31-32).  Stretch out and touch Him today, He is waiting for your call to release His power.  Be healed in the name of Jesus! Now put on the garment of praise, it will keep the enemy away.  Receive your healing so that you can be effective in the ministry that God has given you.  Once you have received your healing others can be touched by your ministry.
