My Bible And I Time will change but God’s Word remains the same. Friends will leave you, of this, make no mistake. But God alone, all your needs, can supply At thirteen (13) I responded to the call, baptism was the next step Years later, in my twenties, I still had ‘similac on my breath’ All I thought I needed was to listen to what the preacher says ‘There must be more to this journey than going to church all dressed’ Sure enough, I read a Psalm each day but still I was idle After all, ‘I’ll learn enough at bible study from the scriptures we read’ But no one told me all the secrets were within and all I had to do was read I always thought I knew Him well, But I was just being idle The relationship stayed basic as I listened to religious folks Listening keenly, only latching onto stories that others have told Now, I’m learning more and more about Him each day All because I continue to read His Word and pray The more I read the more I learn and Yes! I’ve started to grow And through me His love, like a river, continues to flow If you’re saved and excited, a bible is what I’ll recommend If you want to grow as a Christian, make it your next best friend Why? The bible is where all the instructions you’ll ever need are So get a bible, read your bible and write these instructions upon your heart. It’s the recommended read for all saints to conquer all that’s bad It instructed our forefathers and is here to instruct us It’s our ‘prized possession’ don’t leave it to gather dust! On your partner you may say you can rely
I was saved and excited but wasn’t reading my bible
I met my saviour one day, while having a good read of the bible
You’re never alone if you stand on the Word of God.
