Time to Clean-up My Father's House
Part 1 - Introduction
June 12, 2007

This month, I would like to share with you a poem by Jody Goode which really explains how I have been feeling recently.  I have been in many churches where too many have actually lost their first love and the 'House of God' has become nothing more than a social club, filled with corruption

'God doesn't like UGLY' and it grieves my spirit when I see things like this in the 'House' of God -- The place where people run to for shelter, escaping from a world of craziness.  They look to the church as a 'safe haven' but when they come to us they find all that they are running from.

Come on!  We are children of God.  We have a responsibility to spread love to mankind.  Above all - 'LOVE', that's what we were commanded to do.  The very fact that we LOVE, means that we would not want to see anyone of God's children come to harm.  So, it's time to fix up.

Leaders  need to be more responsible and lead with the authority, given by God, to teach His children.  For no other reason but to love. Not for money; status; title or any other reason but LOVE.  Love died on the cross for us.  God is LOVE, so start witnessing for Christ and not self-praise.  Leave the people-pleasing behind and go back to your first love.  It is the responsibility of all as followers of Christ to tell the Good News of the gospel.  Encourage each other to walk in the light -- living a life that's pleasing to God and continue to grow.

To the rest of the believers: Encourage your leaders to stay in the light.  They don't always walk as they should.  However, we all need to bear each other up and where we need to correct - apply correction.  Do it in the name of LOVE.

God bless you all as you endeavour to develop a
closer walk
 with HIM.

Please read Jody's prayer/article and be blessed.
