Financial Break-through
By J.S. Ramkissoon
This is a development from The Energy Booster – Granny’s Recipe which was posted on 12th October 2007 Financial Breakthrough: Are your debts mounting up? As a couple, we (my husband and I) lavished each other with gifts to show our love for one another and this was not restricted in anyway to special occasions. As long as money was in our account/s, we would be off on that weekend break, that day cruise or that shopping spree. That naturally came to an end when we became parents. Maternity leave extended to a career break, our savings depleted and we could envisage debt as a reality.

That can be a real headache isn’t it?
Well, here’s the good news – Jesus died on the cross to cancel our debts. To continue living in debt is to deny the cross. Turn it over to Him. You may need to make a few adjustments to your spending habit but He’ll show you how to get in credit again. Get back in control of your finances.
The fear of debt was the enemy’s key to our home. We had to re-mortgage our property to relieve some of the financial strain. But still, on one wage, overdrafts and loans became a regular way of life.
It was our desire not to get in debt and so we sat down and put a plan together which would see us repaying our overdrafts and loan (minus the mortgage) over a given period. It was a painful but necessary process.
Debt is a trap that will find you focused on making more and more money while asking questions like: ‘Where is God when I need Him?’ It is the root of many problems at home, often resulting in a breakdown of the family network, including divorce.
Take heed! Get back in credit and live within your means. There’s a life of abundance awaiting you; the one God originally intended for you. Get on your knees. Actively work towards freedom from debt. Be a good steward of your finances. Then access this life of abundance God promises.
The devil will weep when he finds you on your knees, begging God and not the loan shark.
