About the Writing

J. S. Ramkissoon

Travel & Inspirational Writer

 The development of her writing

  • Developed after becoming a mother [when exhaustion from sleepless nights and over-extending of self (as an active member in her local church, and community volunteering brought to the forefront, unprocessed grief such as: the loss of her grandparents, friends and mis-carriage) contributed to constant low feelings. “Nothing made sense and when I tried explaining to my husband he didn’t seem to understand what I was going through – I felt no one cared or understood, all I had was tears for comfort. That’s when my gift of writing came to save me.

                        >>>

>>>Once I started writing down my thoughts, things started to become clearer and I was able to see a brighter future ahead. I wrote down all that represented a problem in my life and was able to deal with them one by one—I’m still going through that process today…” ]

 Direction of Her Writing

“It started as a hobby. Then I recognised it as a gift.  It became an avenue to talk to God and hear from Him.  There are areas of my life where I have received healing through my writing.  I’m still going through that process and while I’m going through, God is using my life as a testimony and it has started a healing process in many others who have shared with me what my sharing, through writing, has done in their lives.  That encourages me to keep pressing onwards.

My life is a testimony that God is real, so I’ve asked Him to bless my writing ministry so that others can be motivated, encouraged and inspired to have a deeper relationship with Him and that’s what Write 2 Shine (W2S) is about. There are so much
inspiration coming my way, and so an outlet was necessary in order for the message, that God’s feeding through me, to reach a wider audience.”
