An Answered Prayer

Today you shared with me your plan.
It had to be what I’ve waited for to shake your hand.
A sneak preview you gave of your future life;
Speaking of the one you’d like to make your wife.
So often I prayed and ask
For the Lord to accomplish this task;
Of finding that special someone for you,
Who will make you feel the same way too.
I remember sharing with you how I found the one.
Wow! How beautiful - certainly is grand.
He makes me smile, each time I call his name;
Look in his eyes or take a trip down memory lane.
Overwhelming joy is what I felt,
Remembering how many times I’ve knelt.
Now I rejoice and give God praise,
For one more answered prayer – His name be praised!
