A Light For Christ

Pressing toward the goal:"Working towards that day when I will finally be all that Christ Jesus saved me for and wants me to be" Philippians 4:12 (NLT).

We are now in the second month of the year 2008 and I would like to challenge you to think of how you have spent the last month.  Have you been a blessing with the gift you've received?

The last month was a gift, but now it is in the past.  So if you allowed the days to roll by without being grateful for such a blessing, then the opportunity is here once more to be that light that Christ so desires you to be.

Have you been the light in your area? Have you been a light for Christ?  The little corner of the world where you reside -- your home, may be a dark place where God is waiting for you to shine.  Your community, your work place, your social circle, even your place of fellowship needs that little light that you have to shine.

Take a look at your past month and if you have neglected your duties as a parent, a wife, a husband, a teacher or leader in any form, the opportunity is here to make amends.  Our young ones learn from our actions and so we need to be a light for them or they will seek that light elsewhere.  Don't wait until next New Years' Eve to make a resolution you will once again break.  Make the decision to daily renew your vows to God and man in being the best that God requires you to be.  When we practise to do this daily, as individuals, it will reflect in our relationship with others and so we will have better working environment whether in our homes, at our place of employment, place of fellowship or social circle.

I will leave you to ponder on that thought for now, as I take this advice myself and go honour my word in playing with my son -- it's half term and my attention is in high demand :).

Have a blessed month and be a blessing to others. Keep watching for more updates throughout this month on W2S and share your views on the discussion forum -- love to have your views.

Love and blessings.
