Words to Encourage, Motivate & Inspire

'Man of The Cloth'
The following is meant to be an encouraging piece for anyone who has fallen from grace (especially to our leaders, who tries to carry on though bound by depression). I hope that it will be a blessing and pull you back to the Saviour's arms if you've somehow drifted. Remember: You can never go too far where God cannot reach you.

'Man of the Cloth'
By Janice S. Ramkissoon

A man of the cloth fell from Grace
He turned to the bottle and then to the crate
From the bottle to the crate
He struggles through each day

With his conscience he wrestles
guilt became second play
Feeling lost and dismay
He felt he had lost his way

He could no longer cope.
He had lost his faith and all hope
An angel did appear
And whispers in his ear:

"He has not forsaken you.
With open arms He waits for you.
He’ll pick you up, help you stand,
'And put you back where you belong*'"

So, on his knees he fell And there he did repent
This is what he said:

‘The temptation was strong
I should have resisted
Oh! Lord, I know I was wrong
Please forgive me Help me again to stand’

Sorrow replaced his crate
A tear fell, as he prayed
His hope and faith re-ignite
As he knelt and prayed that night

In his spirit, he received
The message he really needed
‘You’re forgiven my child;
Now go, and sin no more’

He rose…

With tears in his eyes Suddenly, he started to smile
Then he began to sing songs of praise
Now he wears his collar with pride
As he tells the story of light
Bringing hope to a generation living in the night
